Education Qualfication
Station Officer (Sub Inspector): A B.Sc. or B.E. degree in Fire from a recognized university or its equivalent.

Driver / Driver cum Operator: Must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination from a recognized board and must possess a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license.

Fireman / Store Keeper: Must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination from a recognized board.

Mechanic: Must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination and possess a Diploma in Diesel Mechanic trade from a recognized ITI or institution.
Watchroom Operator: Must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination and must be a trained Home Guard.

Wireless Operator (Contractual): Must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination and must be a trained Home Guard with Wireless Operator training.
Selection Process
➧Document Scrutiny: Initial screening of applications and documents.

➧Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This is a qualifying test. The nature of the test varies by post.

➧For Station Officer (SI): A 300-mark PET including long jump, high jump, shot put, 100m race, and 1500m race. Candidates need to score at least 30% to qualify.

➧For Other Posts: A 100-mark PET including a 100m race with weight, long jump, shot put, and beam bar. General candidates need a minimum of 50 marks, while reserved categories need 40 marks.

➧Written Examination: A 100-mark exam with a duration of 2 hours. The syllabus will cover subject-specific knowledge, general knowledge, logical reasoning, and analytical skills.

➧Trade Test: A 100-mark trade test will be conducted for candidates applying for Driver and Driver cum Operator posts.

➧Bonus Marks: Up to 10 bonus marks will be awarded for special qualifications like possessing an HMV license (for non-driver posts), proficiency in national-level sports, or holding an NCC ‘C’ certificate.

➧Final Merit List: The final selection list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the PET (for SI post), Written Exam, Trade Test (if applicable), and Bonus Marks.

Height:Male: 168 cm or more
Female: 153 cm or more
➧ (Male Only):Un-expanded: 81 cm
➧Expanded: 86 cm
(For ST candidates: Un-expanded: 76 cm, Expanded: 81 cm)
➧A minimum expansion of 5 cm is mandatory.

Question 1.Who can join the Home Guard, and what’s the term?
Eligibility: Indian citizens aged 18–50, including students, professionals, farmers, industrial workers, etc
Question 2.Can same candidate apply for multiple posts?
Yes, subject to fulfilling individual eligibility criteria (age, education, license, etc.).
Question 3 .Is there negative marking?
Yes, a penalty of –0.33 mark per incorrect answer in the written exam
Question 4. What’s the application fee concession?
SC/ST candidates pay ₹200 instead of ₹300 .
