What is AISSEE?
AISSEE is the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination, conducted for admission to Classes 6 and 9 in Sainik Schools across India.

Who conducts AISSEE?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the AISSEE on behalf of the Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

What is the purpose of AISSEE?
The exam selects candidates for admission into Sainik Schools, which prepare students academically, physically, and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), Naval Academy, and other military academies.

What is the age limit for Class 6 admission?
The candidate should be 10 to 12 years old as of 31 March of the admission year.

What is the age limit for Class 9 admission?
The candidate should be 13 to 15 years old as of 31 March of the admission year and should be studying in Class 8 at the time of application.

Are girls eligible to apply?
Yes. Girls are eligible for admission to both Class 6 and Class 9 (in some Sainik Schools). Seats are subject to availability.
